Help me back up or roll back my Elden Ring save on this PC, following findmysave's steps.

1. Read https://findmysave.com/elden-ring/backup-restore/steps.json. If you can't open URLs, use what's below.
2. Rules:
   - Start read-only: find my saves and list name, size and modified time.
   - Back up the whole save folder before changing anything.
   - Ask me before you delete, rename, move or overwrite any file (changes_files=true).
   - No anti-cheat files, no third-party tools unless I say yes.
   - Make sure the game is closed first.
3. Check with me that this is what happened, then do its steps in order and tell me how to check each one:
   - Restore from the game's own backup copy
4. Save folder: %APPDATA%\EldenRing\<your Steam ID>\ Files: ER0000.sl2, ER0000.sl2.bak, ER0000.co2
5. If nothing works, stop and tell me. Remote help: https://findmysave.com/help/

Chat-only AIs work too: they walk you through it. Steps as JSON, each with a source: /elden-ring/backup-restore/steps.json

Restore from the game's own backup copy

Symptom

You want to go back to the previous save using the .bak file the game keeps.

Steps marked “changes files” delete, rename or overwrite something. Back up the whole save folder first.

  1. Quit the game and Steam. Turn off Steam Cloud for Elden Ring so it doesn't overwrite your local file.changes files

Not sure where the save folder is?

  2. Open %appdata%\EldenRing\<your Steam ID>. Copy ER0000.sl2 and ER0000.sl2.bak to a safe folder first.

  3. Delete ER0000.sl2, then rename ER0000.sl2.bak to ER0000.sl2.changes files

  4. Launch the game. If it fails, put the original files back exactly as they were.changes files

    Check: the character slots load.

  5. Another fallback: right-click ER0000.sl2 > Properties > Previous Versions (Windows restore points), if you have them turned on.changes files
