Let your AI agent find itPaste it into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. It asks what happened, backs up first, and checks with you before changing any file.
Help me find my Palworld save folder on this PC, following findmysave's steps.

1. Read https://findmysave.com/palworld/save-location/steps.json. If you can't open URLs, use what's below.
2. Rules:
   - Start read-only: find my saves and list name, size and modified time.
   - Back up the whole save folder before changing anything.
   - Ask me before you delete, rename, move or overwrite any file (changes_files=true).
   - No anti-cheat files, no third-party tools unless I say yes.
   - Make sure the game is closed first.
3. Check with me that this is what happened, then do its steps in order and tell me how to check each one:
   - I can't find my Palworld save folder
4. Save folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\<your Steam ID>\ Files: Level.sav, LevelMeta.sav, Players/<32-hex GUID>.sav, LocalData.sav, backup/local/ and backup/world/, *.sav.bak in Players/ and SaveData/

Find your Palworld save folder

Symptom

You don't know where the game keeps its save files.

  1. Press Win+R, paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames and press Enter.

  2. Open the folder with a 17-digit name starting with 7656119 (for example 76561198012345678). That number is your Steam ID. If there are several, open the one modified most recently.

  3. Open your world's folder. It has a long name of letters and numbers, one folder per world. If there are several, open the one modified most recently.

  4. Look inside for Level.sav.

Check: You can see Level.sav. This is your world's save folder.

Can't find it?

If Windows says it can't find the folder, the game may not have saved on this PC yet. Or you play a different version (Game Pass, Epic, Steam Deck). Check the other paths on this page.

Other platforms

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\<your Steam ID>\
Microsoft Store
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\PocketpairInc.Palworld_ad4psfrxyesvt\SystemAppData\wgs\<your Steam ID>\
Steam
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\<your Steam ID>\<world folder>\

Co-op host and single-player worlds sit in a folder with a random name. Inside you'll find Level.sav, LevelMeta.sav, WorldOption.sav, Players\, backup\local and backup\world.

Xbox / Game Pass
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\PocketpairInc.Palworld_<id>\SystemAppData\wgs

Saves are not in a plain folder. They're GUID-named container files inside wgs, and Level.sav is sealed inside the container, so you need a tool to extract it. Community tools can convert Game Pass saves to Steam. Some players report Steam to Game Pass isn't possible.

Dedicated server
PalServer\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\0\<DedicatedServerName>\

The folder name must match DedicatedServerName in Pal\Saved\Config\<WindowsServer|LinuxServer>\GameUserSettings.ini. Other settings are in PalWorldSettings.ini.
