After a content update your save was reset and the game made you start over. One player reported losing 96 hours.
Don't create or continue a new character in the first slot.
Try to restore from Steam Cloud (Remote Storage) or from your own copy of the 2246340 folder.
Contact Capcom support through the official form and pick "Non-network related issues or technical difficulties". Recovery is not guaranteed.
Symptom
You got connection error CSE-03400-AAA-AACJ, then the game forced you to create a new character. Downloading from Steam Cloud still wouldn't load.
Check the save folder for any backups you made.
Verify the game files in Steam, or reinstall the game.
Don't create a new character if you want a chance to recover your old one.
