   - Back up the whole save folder before changing anything.
   - Ask me before you delete, rename, move or overwrite any file (changes_files=true).
   - No anti-cheat files, no third-party tools unless I say yes.
   - Make sure the game is closed first.
3. Check with me that this is what happened, then do its steps in order and tell me how to check each one:
   - Progress missing after switching platform with cross-save (autosaves do not transfer)
4. Save folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%/Pearl Abyss/CD/save/<your account ID> Files: 9 save slots, Cross-Save slot

Progress missing after switching platform with cross-save

Symptom

You switched platform with cross-save and your progress is missing. Autosaves do not transfer.

  1. On the platform you're leaving, open the Save menu, pick the Cross-Save slot (bottom-right) and save manually. Wait for the confirmation.

Check: The game shows a save confirmation.

Not sure where the save folder is?

  2. Close the game, launch it on the second platform and select the Cross-Save slot.

Check: Your progress shows up in the slot.

  3. Still missing? Check that both platform accounts are linked to the same Pearl Abyss ID, the upload succeeded, and you're online (Offline Mode fails). Then press Refresh and restart the game.

  4. Look at your local save folder and your Steam Cloud copy, and compare their dates before you overwrite anything.
